Katie and Bryce are getting married

-in TEN days-

I don’t think I’ve ever shot an engagement session this close to a wedding before.

The thing is – Katie wanted a session in the SNOW.

But she was living near Des Moines.   And Bryce was living near Waterloo.  And I live near Dubuque.

And we barely had any snow this year.

So – scheduling a snow session wsa pretty close to impossible with the distance between us all.

Then – all of a sudden – it’s May. And the engagement pictures haven’t been taken.

And the wedding is

RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER.

I think this all happened for a reason though.  Katie and Bryce’s session turned out great.

The weather was perfect. Upper 70′s, only 20% humidity, and no wind.  The location was beautiful.

And then of course you have Katie and Bryce who are so VISIBLY in love.

I hope you all enjoy looking at these phots as much as I enjoyed taking them!

Oh and be sure to push play and listen to Katie and Bryce’s first dance song while you look at the photos!:)

(I think you might have to actually have Spotify on your computer…..)

Two Cute! | Eastern Iowa Portrait Photography

Loved getting to take pictures of these adorable three year old twin girls and their dad yesterday!

Black & White

Yesterday I visited Fin – one of my best friends from college.

I got my camera out and Fin decided to take me to see an old railroad bridge.

I rarely end up taking pictures just for fun.

And even when I do – they never end up edited or printed.

So – I’m feeling pretty proud of myself for actually throwing these up on the blog.

Lord knows I don’t blog enough either!  :)

I have a ton of gorgeous photos from last year that never made it to the blog.  So for the next couple weeks I am going to try and get a few of those sessions up for everyone to see.  I’ll start things off with Mary – a lovely 2012 senior.  Her session was a lot of fun and she brought along a couple of her friends – including Miss Taylor!

I couldn’t decide which I liked better – color or black and white.

I love this next picture.

Good luck with the rest of your senior year Mary!!:)
