Dubuque Photographer Amanda McLeod: A Day with Laci and Levi

Sunday was a great day.  I spent the early part of the afternoon hanging out with my family and one of my best friends, Sherri.  Then around 4:30 I headed out for my first engagement session of the year.  I’ve said before and I’ll say it again…  I LOVE engagement sessions.   This particular engagement session was fantastic.  The weather was perfect, the couple was gorgeous, and the location was beautiful.  The location included… a tire swing, a pond, a grassy hill, woods, a barn, horses, tall reeds, hay bales, fences.  The list goes on.  But honestly, I could have taken the pictures anywhere and they would have been great.  That’s because the couple, Laci and Levi, are in one word: amazing.  They were fun, creative, totally in love, and extremely excited for their session.  The only thing I’m sad about.. is that because of some family obligations I don’t get to shoot their wedding.

Laci and Levi, I hope you had as much fun as I did.  Good luck on your wedding day and I look forward to doing a trash the dress session with you later this summer!!!:)

This is one of my favorites!

Another favorite.

I really really love this one!

I do this shot at almost all engagement sessions.  I have them whisper something to each other that they know will make their partner laugh.  I always get great expressions from it.  And I always wonder what they are saying….

Another favorite.:)

And just for fun.. some silliness!
