I was blown away by Jordyn and Andy’s beautiful October wedding – and I mean that quite literally. It was a gorgeous day but it was also just about the windiest day ever. Jordyn and I were both a little worrid about the wind for outdoor photos but it really didn’t cause us too many problems!
We started the morning at Jordyn and Andy’s home in Dyersville.
FUN FACT: Andy proposed to Jordyn the day they purchased their home!
Jordyn found her gown and the guys’ suits at Brides and Weddings in Manchester. I loved the neckline and the embroidered mesh back of her dress.
So SO pretty.
Not gonna lie… I love a teary father daughter reveal.
Jordyn and Andy are high school sweethearts.
*cue the awws*
They first met at Beckman Junior High but didn’t officially start talking until their freshman year while they both played baseketball. After many many texts over the next few months – they finally started dating almost TEN years ago.
Jordyn and Andy were married at the Basilica in Dyersville. It is one of my favorite churches in the area.
I asked Jordyn and Andy what they loved most about their day and one of the things Jordyn mentioned was how special it was to have her uncle marry them. 😊
After the ceremony, we made our way out to a seriously pretty spot near Park Farm Winery that Jordyn had found.
I love the time spent between the wedding and ceremony taking the less formal photos with the wedding party and bride and groom.
In Jordyn’s words:
Our wedding party was The. Best.
We had so much fun with our closest friends and family in the time we had together on the bus, taking pictures, and on the dance floor!
After pictures, we made our way back to Dyersville to really celebrate the marriage of Jordyn and Andy. Their reception was held at the Dyersville Commercial Club.
{Shout out to the coordinator, Ashley cause she’s awesome!}
Words from the Bride:
What surprised you about your wedding day?
That it all worked out in the end. The day was literally so perfect, we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day
What is your advice to other brides and couples for having the best wedding day possible?
Even though it’s hard not to, don’t stress as much. I over-stressed about a lot of things that I shouldn’t have worried about at all. People don’t care about a lot of things you worry about 🙂
Is there anything you’d do differently if you could?
Don’t stress so much!
